Overview
An 8-day small-group circuit of Iceland's Ring Road, timed for the aurora season. The route takes in the Golden Circle (Thingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss), the south-coast waterfalls and black-sand beaches, the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, the fjords of the east, Lake Myvatn and Godafoss in the north, and a soak in a geothermal spa. Includes 7 nights of country hotels and guesthouses, breakfast daily, a glacier-lagoon boat trip and guided aurora watches on clear nights.

Itinerary
Arrive at Keflavik and transfer to Reykjavik. Depending on arrival time, a short city walk to Hallgrimskirkja and the harbour, and a first aurora briefing from your guide.
Thingvellir National Park where the tectonic plates meet, the erupting Strokkur geyser at the Geysir field, and the two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall. Overnight in the south-west countryside.
Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, the Solheimajokull glacier snout, and the basalt columns and sea stacks of Reynisfjara black-sand beach. Overnight near Vik.
Drive east past Vatnajokull, Europe's largest ice cap, to the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon for a boat trip among the icebergs and a walk on Diamond Beach. Overnight in the Hofn area.
A scenic day along the East Fjords' winding coast road, with fishing villages, reindeer country and Egilsstadir. Overnight in the east.
The geothermal wonderland around Lake Myvatn - Namafjall's steaming vents, Dimmuborgir lava formations and the Myvatn Nature Baths - plus the "waterfall of the gods", Godafoss. Overnight near Akureyri.
Travel through the north and the Borgarfjordur region with its lava-spring waterfalls, returning to the Reykjavik area for the final night and a last aurora attempt.
Transfer to Keflavik for departure, with an optional stop at a geothermal lagoon near the airport if time allows.
