Overview
An 8-day classic combining Cairo with a Nile cruise. Two nights in Cairo cover the Giza pyramids and Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum and Old Cairo, with an optional evening at the Grand Egyptian Museum. A domestic flight to Luxor begins a four-night full-board cruise to Aswan, stopping at Karnak and Luxor Temples, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo, the High Dam and Philae Temple, all with a dedicated Egyptologist guide. Includes internal flights and all sightseeing entries listed.

Itinerary
Arrive at Cairo International; a guide assists with the visa on arrival and transfers you to your hotel. Evening welcome briefing and optional dinner cruise on the Nile.
The Giza plateau - the Great Pyramid, Khafre, Menkaure and the Sphinx - with time for an optional camel ride, then the Egyptian Museum's Tutankhamun collection and a stop in Old Cairo.
Morning flight to Luxor and embarkation. Afternoon visit to Karnak's vast temple complex and Luxor Temple, lit up after dark. Overnight moored in Luxor.
Cross to the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Sail toward Edfu in the afternoon; overnight on board.
The well-preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu by horse-carriage, then sail to the double temple of Kom Ombo on the riverbank at sunset. Overnight sailing to Aswan.
The High Dam, the granite quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk, and a boat to the island temple of Philae. Optional afternoon felucca sail around Elephantine Island. Overnight in Aswan.
Breakfast and disembarkation, with an optional early excursion to Abu Simbel. Fly back to Cairo for the final night; evening free for the Khan el-Khalili bazaar.
Transfer to Cairo airport for your onward flight.
